There are bus routes that connect the airport to Santa Cruz which is the capital of the island, Los Rodeos which is the other airport in the north, Puerto de la Cruz and the southern beaches. The bus stops are easily found on the other side of the road as you come out of arrivals.
The buses run at regular intervals but the queues can be hot in the summer and it's no fun waiting in the hot sun surrounded by bags and children. Other options for you to consider are hiring a car, booking a private transfer or catching a taxi to your holiday destination.
If you prebook a hire car you will often get a better deal, and this is certianly the best way to get around the island and get to remote beaches and visit places off the tourist track.
Below are the routes and fares for the Tenerife Airport buses, but they are subject to change so for the latest information on route, fares and timetables visit www.titsa.com or telephone 0034 922 531 300.
