All departures traffic at Tenerife South Airport (including national, European Community and international) is handled on the ground floor of the passenger terminal building.
You can get to it from the taxi rank and the public bus service or from the car parks.
There are 87 check in desks lined up along the far wall of the hall with a large board above giving all the flight departure details. As soon as your baggage has been checked in and you have your boarding pass head through customs and make your way to the departures lounge on the first floor where you will find all the shops, duty free and places to get something to eat and drink while you wait to board your flight.
Keep an eye on the TV monitors to find out your gate number when it is allocated and when your flight is boarding.
If you are catching a bus or taxi to drop you off at the airport they will stop directly outside departures where there is a drop off point.
If you are returning a hire car then follow the signs on the approach road to the relevant bays for your rent a car agency in the car park where you can leave your vehicle and get it signed off.
If you have mobility problems and have arranged with your airline for a wheelchair or buggy to be provided to get you to the plane, go to the bright yellow "sin barreras" desk in departures or press the button for service at one special points (also bright yellow) to let them know you are ready and waiting for the assistance to be given.
