With the added stresses and strains that all the additional but necessary security checks now put on air travel with passengers having to check in earlier and wait around for longer for their flight, an airport VIP lounge is the ideal place to find some peace and quiet away from the busy and often overcrowded departure hall. Also if you need to do some work there is everything you need to connect to the internet.
If you need to meet up with some people before you leave Lanzarote then there are also conference/meeting room facilities available.
The Guacimeta VIP lounge has recently opened at Lanzarote Airport in the passenger only departures area in Terminal 1. it is open from 06:00 to the to the last planned flight time. You will find it in the pasenger departures zone opposite boarding gates 1 and 2 and next to the shopping and catering areas.
It is managed by the Spanish Airport Authority (Aena) and is a non-smoking lounge which limits the booking to two guests per cardholder. It is available to all passengers at Lanzarote Arecife Airport at a cost of Adults: €23.50 and Childrens: €11.25 plus tax.
The lounge offers internet and WiFi, Television, free snacks and drinks and newspapers, a heated sun terrace with smoking area, disabled access and a bathroom for persons with reduced mobility
There are monitors in the lounge displaying the latest flight details so that you can check your departure gate and when your plane is boarding. You can therefore stay there in comfort until you are certain the aircraft is ready to embark.
It is open from 06:00 to the last scheduled flight departure, but it does stay open if there are flight delays.
