Leaving Valencia Airport

If you are leaving on an international flight head to the first floor of the main passenger terminal. For domestic flights you need to check in on the first floor of the regional aviation terminal. You can get to this from the main building or directly from outside.

If you are returning a hire car then you should leave it back in the main car park in the section assigned to your rent a car agency where you can get it checked by a representative and the paperwork signed off. Allow extra time if you do need to do this.

The new Terminal 2 opened in last August and has five floors with a departure area with 4 boarding, 4 baggage reclaim belts in the arrivals area, 21 counters in the check in hall and new business facilities and restaurants.

Once in the departures hall simply check the TV screens and proceed to the check in counter which has been designated for your flight.

If you are travelling back to the airport by taxi of one of the Valencia Airport buses then you will be dropped off just outside the terminal building.

Once you have checked in your luggage proceed through to the Departures Lounge which is for passengers only. Within the departures lounge at Valencia Airport you will find a number of shops including the large multi shop which sells everything from luxury clothes items to perfumes,jewellery and accessories, cigarettes and alcohol.

Once your gate is assigned and you head off to wait to board your flight you will also find some places to eat and drink further along in this area.

The shopping facilities at the airport are not on a par with somewhere like Barcelona but there is enough to keep you amused and well fed!
