There are no trains or railway station at Girona Airport but you can either catch a direct bus or taxi to the main line station in the centre of the city and transfer from there.

The railway station in Girona is on the line from Barcelona Sants with local trains every hour. You can also catch a high speed train service to Paris changing at Figures Vilafant.

If you are aged 60 or over you can buy a Tarjeta Dorada ticket for between €5,00-15,00 which is valid one year and offers discounts of at leasr 25% on Spanish railways.

Girona Trains run to Barcelona roughly every half an hour and prices range from €10.00 to €20 depending on which train company you use and what time of day it is.

You can also travel direct to Madrid, Figueres, Montpelier in France and a whole host of other destinations. You can find out more about destinations from Girona, with timestable and fares by visiting the Spanish rwailway website www.renfe.com

As there are no Girona Airport Trains you will have to add a cost of €20 for the taxi journey into the railway station.
