Pamplona Airport Overview
Pamplona Airport is located six kilometres from Navarra's capital, between the towns of Noain and Esquiroz. It can be accessed via the N-121 national highway in the direction of Zaragoza and exit onto the NA-6006 motorway at kilometre 5.
Pamplona is a city in Navarra which is famous for its San Fermín festival also known as "The Running of the Bulls" held each year from July 6th - 14th. it is a main city on the route of St James (Camino de Santiago) has wine routes and tours with attractions including Roman mosiacs, beautiful parks and a river running through it.
Pamplona Airport opened a new terminal at the end of 2010 which doubled the airport's capacity. the new passenger terminal has nine check-in desks, plus one for special baggage, two security checkpoints, three boarding gates and two baggage reclaim carousels, plus another for special baggage. These new facilities will enable the airport to handle up to 1.1 million passengers a year.
In 2011 Pamplona Airport registered a total of 238,380 passengers and 9,603 aircraft movements.
