Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Airport Overview
Gran Canaria Airport is Spain's fifth busiest airport and by far the busiest airport in the Canary Islands. In 2011 Las Palmas Airport handled 10,538,811 passengers with111,269 flight operations.
It is located in the eastern part of Gran Canaria on the Bay of Gando (Bahía de Gando), 19 km south of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and 25 km from the popular tourist areas in the south.
The airport has one terminal which is split into three zones. Zone A is for European Union Flights, Zone B is for International flights outside the European union and Zone C is for flights to the other Canary Islands.
